Description

Polyester is a synthetic fiber spun from long-chain polymers composed of at least 85% by weight of an ester such as teraphthalate.

Effect of Heat Sticks at 445°F (230°C); Melts at 500°F (260°C)
Acceptance of Dye Disperse and azoic dyestuffs recommended; available in a wide variety of solution-dyed colors, including black for automotive applications.
Resistance to Sunlight Generally excellent, however, prolonged exposure causes some loss of strength
General Good abrasion resistance. Excellent resistance to mildew. Good resistance to acids. Less resistant to alkali.
